Many people make the mistake of buying audio equipment in the belief that they’re really buying hi-fi. We want you to understand that there are significant differences between run-of-the-mill audio and proper hi-fi.
The term hi-fi (high fidelity) was once only used to describe specialist components designed and manufactured to reproduce recorded music faithfully. How it has been devalued; hi-fi has become an all embracing word used to describe anything that tries to play music – from iPod docking stations to mini systems to MP3 players.
