Three more hi-fi shops join BADA
EXPANSION OF BADA CONTINUES WITH THREE NEW RETAILER MEMBERS
BADA, the British Audio-Visual Dealers Association, is continuing its expansion with the appointment of three new retail members to the association.
Audience in Bath, The Sound Gallery, High Wycombe and Söund Örganisation in York join the ever growing number of retailers and manufacturers who recognise and value the importance of belonging to the UK’s most progressive hi-fi trade association.
Founded in 2000 by Andrew Craske, Audience is situated in the heart of the historic city of Bath. Having worked previously with BADA vice chairman, Simon Byles, at Infidleity, Andrew moved west and set up his own business, selling predominantly British equipment from the likes of Arcam, B&W, Cyrus, Naim, Rega and Spendor.
The Sound Gallery was formed in 1985 by Chris Gildersleve and serves the population of High Wycombe and the surrounding area with both top quality hi-fi and high-end in car audio. Supplying equipment from Linn, Spendor, Naim, Arcam, Denon and B&W, The Sound Gallery specialise in both two channel systems and fully integrated home installations.
In the early 1980s Hamish MacDiarmid founded the Söund Örganisation in Southwark, London. Moving to York in 1985, the business expanded and outgrew its premises twice. Now trading from the end of Gillygate, within site of the city’s roman walls, The Sound Organisation is one of the premier hi-fi and home entertainment retailers and installers in North Yorkshire.
Ian Anderson, Chairman of BADA, said; “BADA is forging ahead with its expansion and positioning as the most forward thinking and relevant UK trade association. This is clearly demonstrated through our commitment to raising standards within the retail environment, a fact recognised and valued by the many existing retail and manufacturer members and now by another three of the UK’s top dealers, who we are very pleased to welcome as members.”
